Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 200 g butter
- 75 g sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 3 eggs
- 150 g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 75 g nuts, ground
- 1 tbsp rum
- 1 pinch of salt
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Cream the butter with the sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs and whisk until smooth. Stir in a pinch of salt. Sift the flour and fold in along with the baking powder. Carefully stir in the nuts and rum. Bake in a waffle iron at medium temperature until golden brown. Delicious on their own, with whipped cream, or with cherry compote. These waffles are a hit at children’s birthday parties, whether served as is or decorated with a little melted chocolate. Almonds can also be used instead of the nuts.
