Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 5 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cube of yeast
  • 200 ml milk
  • 125 g butter
  • 1 egg(s)
  • ¾ jar Nutella
  • 1 egg yolk

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Make a yeast dough from flour, salt, sugar, yeast, milk, butter (melted and slightly cooled), and the egg. Let it rise for about 30 minutes, until it has significantly increased in size. Roll out the dough, not too thin, spread with Nutella, and roll it up. Then, using a sharp knife, cut into slices about 5 cm thick. Place these slices, not too close together, in a greased springform pan and let rest for another 20 minutes. Before placing the springform pan in the oven, brush the dough balls with egg yolk. Then bake in the oven at about 175 degrees Celsius for 45 minutes.
