Nutella stars

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 320 g flour
  • 4 tbsp almonds, ground
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 100 g butter
  • 150g Nutella
  • 4 tbsp hazelnuts, chopped
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Mix the flour with the baking powder and the ground almonds. Then add the 100g sugar and the sachet of vanilla sugar with a pinch of salt, and beat them together with the egg, 2 tablespoons of Nutella and 100g butter in a separate bowl until fluffy (the remaining Nutella is for the filling). Add this to the flour mixture and knead vigorously (this is best done by hand). Now roll out the dough and cut out shapes. They don’t have to be stars, but hearts work just fine. For the impatient: Cut out large shapes and don’t roll out the dough too thinly, otherwise it will be a messy job, as the dough tends to stick. Now bake the cookies at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for 8 minutes. While the cookies are baking, heat the remaining Nutella and mix it with the chopped hazelnuts and cinnamon. Allow the baked cookies to cool briefly and then, using 2 teaspoons, place a small amount of the warm Nutella mixture onto each cookie, cover with another, press firmly together and allow to cool.
