Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 2 tbsp almonds, ground
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 80 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 80 g butter
  • 120g Nutella
  • 20 g coconut oil
  • 30 g hazelnuts, chopped
  • 1 pinch(s) cinnamon powder
  • possibly powdered sugar
  • possibly Nutella, for decoration

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 8 minutes; Total time approx. 43 minutes

Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit). Mix together the flour, ground almonds, and baking powder. Cream together the sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, egg, butter, and 2 tablespoons of Nutella until fluffy, then stir in the flour mixture and knead into a smooth dough. Roll out the dough thinly on a floured surface and cut out cookies using a star shape. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake for about eight minutes (electric and natural gas ovens: 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit)/Gas Mark 3, fan oven: 160 degrees Celsius (320 degrees Fahrenheit). Let the cookies cool on a wire rack. Gently warm the remaining Nutella with coconut oil over low heat, stir in the chopped hazelnuts and cinnamon. Place half a teaspoon of Nutella hazelnut spread in the center of half of the cookies and cover with the remaining cookies. Dust with powdered sugar, if desired, and decorate with Nutella.
