Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 100 g oat flakes
  • 250 g quark (cottage cheese)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 lemon(s), grated peel
  • 60 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 40 g desiccated coconut
  • 60 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • Salt
  • Raisins, if desired
  • Clarified butter, for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

crispy tender with lemon/coconut flavor

Whisk the curd cheese with eggs, salt, and sugar until smooth, then stir in the remaining ingredients and let it rest for about 20 minutes. Then, with wet hands, form small, thin patties and fry in hot clarified butter over medium heat (important! Otherwise, the patties might burn) until golden brown on both sides. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar and serve with applesauce or any compote or pudding. They also taste delicious cold.
