Oatmeal Buttermilk Scones

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 50 g oat flakes, fine
  • 250 ml buttermilk
  • 250 g wheat flour type 405
  • 2 tsp, leveled baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 45 minutes

without butter, without eggs

Pour the buttermilk over the oats, salt, and sugar, stir, and let stand for about 1 to 1.5 hours. Combine the flour and baking powder and add to the oats. Mix all ingredients with the dough hook of a hand mixer. Form the dough into 8 balls, flatten to 1 cm, and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (160°C fan-assisted oven) for about 35 minutes. Serve while still lukewarm.
