Omelette with Fresh Spinach Leaves

The perfect omelette with fresh spinach leaves recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 350 g Fresh spinach leaves (cleaned approx. 300 g)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 0,5 Onion approx. 50 g
  • 1,5 tbsp Butter
  • 2 Eggs
  • 50 g Grated cheese
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  1. Remove the stalks of spinach leaves, wash very carefully, drain, cook in bubbly boiling salted water (1.5 liters / 1 teaspoon salt) for about 2 minutes, drain through a kitchen sieve, rinse with cold water, squeeze out well and cut roughly. Peel and finely dice the garlic cloves and onion. Melt / heat butter (1.5 tbsp) in a medium-sized pan, fry the onion and garlic clove cubes vigorously, add the spinach and stir-fry for about 2 minutes. Beat the eggs, season with plenty of salt and pepper, add the grated cheese, stir everything together and drizzle over the onion, garlic and spinach mixture. Pepper and salt everything vigorously and let the lid cook on a low flame for approx. 13-15 minutes. Serve the omelette with fresh spinach leaves in the pan.
