  • 350 g onion(s)
  • 200 ml sweet cream
  • 150 ml vegetable stock
  • 1 tsp, heaped flour

  • Butter or margarine
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Briefly rinse the fillets and pat dry. Depending on their size, cut each into 2-3 pieces, season with salt and pepper, and place in a greased baking dish. Heat the butter in a saucepan and sauté the finely sliced onions for about 15 minutes. The onion rings can be lightly browned; this refines the flavor. Then dust with flour, sauté briefly, and season with salt and pepper. Deglaze with the vegetable stock and cream, and let the sauce simmer slightly. Pour the sauce over the fillets. Tip: If you like, sprinkle with some grated cheese. Place the dish in a hot oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for 30 minutes. Serve with hash browns, rice, and fries.
