Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg vegetable onions
  • 100 g butter or margarine
  • 100 ml white wine
  • 300 g crème fraîche
  • 125 g whipped cream
  • 4 eggs
  • 150 g breakfast bacon
  • salt and pepper
  • e.g. chives
  • 1 package of pizza dough from the refrigerated section

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

quick and easy to make

Slice the onions into strips and fry in a deep pan with butter or margarine. When they’re nice and translucent and have taken on some color, deglaze with white wine and let simmer for a bit longer. Whisk together the eggs, cream, crème fraîche, and chopped chives (I always use dried chives from a jar) and season with salt and pepper. Roll out the finished pizza dough on a baking sheet and spread the onions on top. Carefully pour the cream mixture over it and bake the whole thing at 200 degrees Celsius on the middle rack for 45-50 minutes. Cut the bacon in half once down the middle so the pieces aren’t too big, and after about 20 minutes of baking, arrange each one individually on top of the onion tart. This delicious tart is a must-have for every party for me and is gone faster than I can blink.
