Onion cream sauce

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 onions
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 cup of cream
  • 1 tsp flour
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Peel the onions, halve them, and slice them into rings. Then fry them in butter until golden brown. Add the sugar and let it caramelize. Then add the flour and the very finely chopped or crushed garlic, sauté briefly, and deglaze with the cream. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. If the sauce reduces too much, you can simply thin it with a little water.
