Onion cream schnitzel, very simple

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 pork schnitzels or turkey schnitzels
  • 400 ml cream
  • 1 bag(s) of ready-made onion soup mix
  • pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • Garlic
  • 1 shot of water or milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Season the washed schnitzels with pepper, paprika, and garlic. Place the seasoned schnitzels in an ovenproof dish. Mix the cream with the instant onion soup, adding a splash of water or milk if you don’t want the sauce to be too thick. Spread the cream and onion mixture over the schnitzels. Then bake in the oven at 180°C (convection oven). If you don’t like the surface too dark, you can cover the dish with a lid or aluminum foil for the first 20 minutes. The turkey schnitzels need about 30-40 minutes, the pork schnitzels a little longer (about 60 minutes). Of course, you can refine this recipe with all kinds of other ingredients (e.g., cheese, herbs, or vegetables). It goes well with rice and leaf salad, but a simple baguette is also delicious.
