Onion Cream Soup
The perfect onion cream soup recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 2 Vegetable onions, approx. 600 g
- 2 tbsp Oil
- Salt pepper
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tsp, slightly heaped Flour
- 200 ml Dry white wine
- 150 g Whipped cream
- 2 tsp Vegetable broth powder
- 2 Tomatoes
- Sweet paprika
- Peel the onions, cut in half and cut into fine strips. Heat oil in a pot. Sauté the onions in it over a medium heat for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper.
- Dust the onions with sugar and flour and sauté briefly. Stir in the wine, 600 ml of water and cream. Bring to the boil, stir in the stock powder and simmer for about 10 minutes. Season the soup with salt and pepper.
- Wash, quarter and core the tomatoes. Finely dice the pulp. Sprinkle the soup with diced tomatoes and dust with paprika powder.
