Onion meat from the crockpot

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 8 large onions
  • 1 ½ kg roast pork
  • some oil
  • Steak seasoning
  • Gyro spice
  • 250 ml BBQ sauce, I use the recipe from mümmelchen, it is the best (BBQ sauce cooked)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 8 hours; Total time approx. 8 hours 15 minutes

If desired, prepare the BBQ sauce from mümmelchen beforehand. Peel the onions and slice them into rings. Cut the roast pork into thin slices and season each with a little oil, salt, pepper, and the steak and gyro seasoning. I make it in batches in a small bowl. Add half of the onions to the pot, place the meat on top, and cover with the remaining onions. Pour the BBQ sauce over the onions. Cook on low for 7-8 hours. Enjoy! Serve with bread or chips and a green salad. Pot size: 6.5 l
