Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 pack of pizza dough from the refrigerated section
  • 50 g bacon, diced
  • ½ vegetable onion(s), cleaned, cut into thin quarter rings
  • 100 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • pepper
  • e.g. parsley, fresh or dried
  • 100 g cheese, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

a cross between pizza, tarte flambée and quiche

Roll out the pizza dough, parchment-side down, on a baking sheet and prick the dough several times with a fork. In a mixing bowl, combine the quark, eggs, bacon cubes, onion pieces, cheese, pepper, and parsley (do not add salt, as the bacon and cheese already contain enough salt). Spread this mixture evenly over the dough and bake for about 30 minutes at 180°C (fan oven). To brown the surface, you may want to switch the oven to 250°C (conventional heat) for a few minutes towards the end of the cooking time. Keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn’t burn. Tastes best lukewarm, but also delicious hot or cold. Tip: Make a double batch and freeze the second baking sheet.
