Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g butter
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 tsp orange peel, grated
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tbsp rum
  • 150 g flour
  • 150 g cornstarch
  • 1 pinch of baking powder
  • 125 ml orange juice and 4 tbsp for the glaze
  • 200 g powdered sugar

Cream the butter and sugar until fluffy, then gradually beat in the eggs. Stir in the rum and orange zest. Combine the flour, baking powder, and cornstarch, sift over the foam, and gently fold in. Pour the batter into a well-greased loaf pan and bake at 160°C (320°F) for about 50 minutes. After baking, turn the cake out and let it cool slightly. Then, pierce the cake several times and drizzle with orange juice. Combine the powdered sugar with 4 tablespoons of orange juice and glaze the cake with it.
