Orange chocolate cake

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 175 g dark chocolate
  • 300 g butter or margarine
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 300 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 6 eggs
  • 375 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 2 orange(s) (organic), grated peel
  • 80 ml orange juice, freshly squeezed
  • 15 g coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp candied orange peel
  • chocolate rolls
  • Fat for the mold
  • Flour for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 50 minutes

Preheat the oven to 175°C (top/bottom heat). Chop 75g of chocolate. Cream together the butter, vanilla sugar, and salt, then beat in the eggs one at a time. Combine the flour, baking powder, and orange zest and stir in alternately with the orange juice. Fold in the chopped chocolate. Grease a loaf pan and pour in the batter. Bake for approximately 75-80 minutes. Test the doneness with a skewer. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for another 10-15 minutes. Melt 100g of chocolate with the coconut oil in a double boiler. Cover the cake with the chocolate and chill for one hour. Decorate the cake with chocolate curls and candied orange cubes.
