Orange chocolate cookies

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 125 g butter
  • 125 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 oranges, finely grated peel
  • 175 g flour
  • 75 g cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 100 g dark chocolate
  • 200 g dark chocolate, for spreading

Coarsely grate the chocolate. Mix the butter, sugar, orange zest, and salt together. Add the egg and beat for a few minutes until fluffy. Sift together the flour, cornstarch, and baking powder, then stir into the mixture. Stir in the grated chocolate. Chill in the freezer for 15 minutes. Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 3-4 mm. Use a 5 cm round cutter to cut out cookies. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 10 minutes. Once cooled, spread a thin layer of dark chocolate on the back (they taste delicious without coating), let cool, and store in an airtight container to keep them crispy for longer.
