Orange chocolate croissants

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 100 g dark chocolate, grated
  • 1 tsp orange peel
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 125 g butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 day 16 hours; Total time approx. 1 day 16 hours 20 minutes

Place the flour in a bowl and mix with the baking powder. Add the sugar and a pinch of salt. Add the chocolate. Add the finely grated orange zest to the dough. Add the egg and scatter butter flakes over the dough. Knead the dough thoroughly, cover, and refrigerate for about 30 minutes. Shape the dough into small croissants (Kipferl) and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between them. Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C for about 15-20 minutes.
