Working time approx. 3 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 23 minutes

What to do with old bananas? On the grill!

Grill the banana on the grill for up to 10 minutes on each side until dark brown; it’s perfectly fine to allow it to blacken. It’s important that the banana doesn’t burst during grilling; it’s ready when juices start to run. Ideally, you can make the orange juice reduction in a small saucepan next to the food on the grill. Add a squeeze of lime juice. Place the banana on a plate and slice it lengthwise. Open it up, then slice the inside of the banana. Spread Grand Marnier or a fruit alternative evenly over the banana, ideally using a ladle. Season with a light grind of freshly ground pepper and serve.
