Instructions
Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes
Bring 1 liter of water to a boil in a saucepan. Pour the loose tea into a tea bag, or use 4 tea bags, and boil for five minutes, then remove. Wash and dry the orange thoroughly, then peel off the zest with a vegetable peeler, making sure to remove only the orange layer and not the white part, which contains bitter substances. Squeeze out the juice. Add the zest, juice, and mint (unchopped, with stems) to the saucepan. Bring everything to a boil again and dissolve the desired amount of sugar in it. Strain the tea through a sieve and let cool. For decoration, place a few orange slices, ice cubes, and mint leaves in a glass pitcher and serve well chilled.
