Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 2 cups rice
- 4 cups water
- 100 g butter
- 1 large apple
- 2 large oranges
- 1 cup raisins
- ½ cup(s) almond slivers
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- Orange(s), for garnishing
Instructions

Orange rice is a recipe from India – kids love it!!
Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the washed rice and stir. Pour in the warm water, bring to a boil while stirring, then cover and set aside. Peel and slice the apple and oranges. Add to the soaked rice. Add the slivered almonds, washed raisins, and sugar and mix well. Serve in a bowl. Garnish with orange segments. The orange rice is best served warm.
