Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g butter
  • 250 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 5 eggs
  • 330 g flour
  • 170 g cornstarch
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 125 ml milk
  • 1 orange(s), juice and grated zest or lemon
  • 250 g powdered sugar
  • 5 tbsp orange juice or lemon juice

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

very popular because it is not so sour, also possible as lemon cake

Cream the butter, sugar, and salt until fluffy. Beat in the eggs. Stir in the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and milk. Stir in the orange or lemon juice and zest. Spread the batter onto a baking sheet and bake at 150°C for about 30 minutes. Let cool. Mix the powdered sugar with the juice and spread it on the cake.
