Oriental baked apples

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 apples, Boskop
  • 2 tbsp almonds, chopped
  • 2 dates, dried
  • 2 figs, dried
  • 40 g marzipan
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • some butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Wash the apples and core and stem them with a corer. Finely chop the dates, figs, and marzipan, then mix with the honey, cinnamon, and almonds. Spoon the mixture into the apples, using a wooden spoon to gently press it in. Butter a small ovenproof dish, place a few knobs of butter on the apples, and bake at approximately 160°C (convection oven) for about 20 minutes. Serve with vanilla sauce.
