Oriental Pickles
The perfect oriental pickles recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 2 Cucumbers
- 3 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 Onion, finely diced
- 2 Garlic cloves, finely grated
- 0,5 tbsp Grains of paradise
- 0,5 tbsp Coriander seeds
- 1,5 tbsp Mustard seeds
- 1 Star anise
- 1 tbsp Finely chopped dill
- 2 tbsp Vinegar essence
- Roast the grains of paradise and the coriander seeds in a pan without fat until they start to smell strongly. Prepare a well-sealable container and pour the sugar, salt and all other spices into it, close it once and shake it well.
- Peel the two cucumbers, cut in half and cut into approx. 0.5 cm thick pieces and add to the spices and now close the container very well and shake it really well and then put it in the refrigerator and whenever you open the refrigerator , shake vigorously once. After 2 days they have their full aroma and can be eaten.
