Ingredients
Curry sauce:
- 1 Onion
- 1 tbsp Brown sugar
- 1 Cinnamon stick
- 1 Chilli pepper
- 40 ml Pineapple juice
- 100 ml Vegetable broth
- 2 tbsp Tomato paste
- 500 g Chunky tomatoes
- 1 tbsp White wine vinegar
- 5 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tsp Curry powder
- 1 tsp Paprika powder
- 0,5 tsp Chilli flakes
- 1 pinch Salt
French fries:
- 2 kg Floury potatoes
- 2 tbsp Salt
- Frying oil
Aside from that:
- Curry powder
Instructions
- Sauté the diced onions until translucent and caramelize with brown sugar. Add all the ingredients and simmer for 30 - 45 minutes. Then remove the cinnamon sticks and whole chili peppers and puree them finely. Finally pass everything through a sieve.
- Fry the sausages in oil until golden brown.
- Peel the potatoes, cut them into even strips, and fry them in hot fat until golden brown. Salt at the end.
- Arrange the sausage on a plate or in the bowl, add the sauce and season lightly with curry powder. French fries with it - done!
