Oven-baked spare ribs with onion, honey, and garlic glaze

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 kg ribs (sharpened ribs, spare ribs)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 6 garlic cloves
  • 50 ml honey, liquid
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 shot of vinegar
  • rosemary
  • some ketchup
  • some butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Portion out the ribs, wash them, and pat them dry with a kitchen towel. Season both sides with salt and pepper and sprinkle with rosemary. Set aside and preheat the oven to 200°C (top and bottom heat). For the glaze, finely dice the onion and fry it in butter in a saucepan. Add a dash of vinegar, allowing it to evaporate uncovered. Season the onions with salt, crush the garlic cloves, and add them. Add the honey and a little ketchup, heat everything up, and mix well. Remove the pan from the heat. Place the ribs in a roasting pan and cover the bottom of the pan with water. Brush the ribs with about half of the glaze, cover, and place in the oven for 30 minutes. Then turn the ribs over and spread the rest of the glaze over them. After another 25 minutes of cooking, remove the lid from the roasting pan, set the oven to 250°C, and roast the ribs uncovered for another 5 minutes. Serve and enjoy! Serve with simple triplets.
