Overnight Oats – pimped Bircher muesli

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 50 g oat flakes, wholegrain or wholegrain flakes mix
  • 2 tsp flaxseed meal
  • 2 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp, heaped cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp agave syrup
  • 1 handful of nuts (hazelnuts, Brazil nuts, mixed nuts, almonds,…)
  • 150 ml almond milk (almond drink)
  • 100 g berries, frozen

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Total time approx. 12 hours 5 minutes

A while ago I discovered overnight oats. Here’s my favorite recipe. They’re a perfect start when you’re in a hurry in the morning, or when you’re busy. Roughly chop the nuts. Mix all the ingredients together well in a sealable container. Store in the fridge. Enjoy the next morning! I don’t like them mushy, so I use quite a bit of liquid. If you prefer it a bit firmer, just use about 100 ml of liquid. I love cinnamon and will add more. You can also use regular milk, soy milk, oat milk, coconut milk, or juice, of course. You can vary the nuts a lot. You can also sweeten it with sugar or honey. In the morning you can also add different fruits, bananas, apples, pears – it all depends on your taste and is delicious!
