Palatinate red wine cake

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g butter
  • 250 g sugar
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 4 eggs
  • 125 ml red wine, Palatinate
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 150 g chocolate sprinkles
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Sponge cake

Combine all ingredients in a batter. Cream the butter in a mixer until fluffy. Slowly add the sugar and eggs, whisking constantly. Then add the cinnamon, cocoa, and vanilla sugar. Alternately add the flour and baking powder, then add the red wine a spoonful at a time. Finally, mix in the chocolate sprinkles. Bake the cake at 160°C (320°F) for 45-60 minutes. Once cooled, decorate with powdered sugar or icing.
