Pan-fried Asparagus for Weekdays
The perfect pan-fried asparagus for weekdays recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 500 g Fresh asparagus
- 30 g Butter
- 2 Pinches Sugar
- 2 Pinches Salt
- 3 tablespoon Water
- 1 tablespoon Chive rolls
- There are so many ways to make an asparagus tasty … this one is also one of my favorites! It is totally uncomplicated, quick and easy – just give it a try!
- Wash and peel the asparagus and cut away the lower ends (about 2 cm). The bowls with the sections are still good as a basis for an asparagus soup, so don’t throw them away.
- Fry the butter with the sugar in a large pan until the butter turns color. Add the asparagus spears with the salt and fry for 3 minutes over medium heat – turn once in between.
- Pour in the water, put a lid on and cook the vegetables gently for about 5 to 7 minutes. And that’s it.
- Lift the asparagus onto a plate with a slotted spoon and serve sprinkled with chives. I also served small jacket spoons that I turned in the asparagus pan. A heated Mettwurst with it – and a great everyday dish is already prepared.
