Pan-fried tuna sandwiches

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 slices of wholemeal toast
  • 1 can tuna in oil (drained)
  • 1 tomato(s), diced
  • 6 small gherkins, diced
  • 60 g cheese, grated (e.g. Gouda)
  • 1 onion(s), red, diced
  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 4 tbsp oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Tuna Melt – American recipe

Mix the tuna, tomatoes, gherkins, onions, cheese, and mayo in a bowl. Spread on 4 slices of bread and cover with the remaining 4 slices. Fry in oil in a pan until golden brown, melting the filling. Cut into triangles and decorate with flags, if desired. A quick snack, for example, for football halftime.
