Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 250 g butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 125 ml milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 250 ml water
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 200 g flour
  • 2 pinches of baking powder
  • 4 tsp cinnamon
  • 100 g sugar
  • 250 g applesauce

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 45 minutes

Mix the ingredients for the batter. Pour it into a greased springform pan and bake for about 40 minutes in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius (convection oven). In the meantime, prepare the batter for the pancakes. Mix the ingredients well. Cook one pancake in a 28 cm pan (this one goes on top last), and all the others in a 24 cm pan. Mix together the cinnamon and sugar. Let the finished pancake cool slightly, then trim off the top, leaving a 5 cm thick base. Place the first pancake on the bottom. On top of this, add a layer of applesauce, then cinnamon and sugar. Place another pancake on top, then cover this with applesauce, cinnamon, and sugar. Continue baking until the last pancake is used up, then place the large pancake on top. Then just add the cinnamon and sugar. Bake the cake for another 5 minutes in the preheated oven (convection oven at 200 degrees Celsius). The cake tastes best on the first day.
