Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 can tomatoes, chopped
- 1 pack of tomatoes, pureed
- 4 bell peppers
- 1 m.-sized onion(s)
- 2 tbsp flour
- 500 g minced meat, mixed
- 50 g tomato paste
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt
- pepper
- Herbs, Italian
- Paprika powder, sweet
- Sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 day 1 hour 30 minutes
Pour the oil into a suitable pot. Dice the onion and add it to the pot. Let the onions brown slightly, then add the minced meat. Now you should wait until the water that comes out of the meat has evaporated. Now add the finely chopped bell peppers. You can then add the 2 tablespoons of flour. Everything should be roasted in the pot with the other ingredients for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Then you can gradually add the chopped and passata tomatoes, tomato paste, and the remaining ingredients to the pot and simmer the sauce for about 1 hour. Finally, season with sugar, salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian herbs. If the sauce is too thick, simply add a little water. The sauce can be served on its own or as a side dish with potatoes, pasta, rice, etc. Tip: Let the sauce sit overnight or for a day. This makes it taste even better! 465 kcal per serving.
