Paprika – rice pan with sucuk

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 sausages (Sucuk)
  • 1 large onion(s), halved and sliced
  • 1 red pepper(s), cut into strips
  • 1 bell pepper(s), green, cut into strips
  • 2 bags of rice (for 4 people)
  • ¼ liter of water
  • 50 g herb butter, cut into thin slices
  • Parmesan, grated for sprinkling
  • Oil for the pan

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Sucuk is a Turkish beef sausage

Cook the rice and keep warm. Halve the sucuk and cut into thin slices. Add a little oil to the pan and fry the sucuk slices. Add the onion strips and the bell pepper strips. Simmer for 10 minutes. Then add 1/4 l water and simmer for another 10 minutes. Add the cooked rice and mix well. Add the herb butter slices and mix well until melted. Let stand for 5 minutes, stir again. Transfer to a plate and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Caution! Depending on the sucuk, it can be spicy and garlicky. Taste first, then adjust the seasoning if necessary.
