Parmesan mustard sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 tbsp, leveled butter
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 small shallot(s), finely diced
  • 100 ml milk
  • 100 ml water
  • 10 g Parmesan, grated
  • 2 tsp coarse-grained mustard
  • 2 tsp mustard, medium hot
  • 1 tbsp sour cream, or sour cream
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • Salt
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

goes well with broccoli, leeks or cauliflower

Heat butter in a saucepan. Sauté shallot until translucent. Add flour and sauté (do not allow to brown!). Gradually add milk and water over medium heat and stir until smooth. Add Parmesan cheese, mustard, sugar, and sour cream. Finally, season with salt and pepper to taste. This amount is sufficient for approximately 500 g of vegetables.
