Party Whole Grain Sourdough Knots

The perfect party whole grain sourdough knots recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 300 g Whole wheat flour
  • 200 g Spelled flour
  • 1 Pck. Dry yeast
  • 0,5 Pck. Sourdough extract e.g. from Alnatura
  • 1 tsp Honey
  • 3 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Black cumin
  • 350 ml Warm water
  1. Mix all ingredients and knead into a dough. Possibly Add some more flour. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 45 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 250 degrees!

  1. Knead again on a floured worktop and form sausages in the desired size and simply knot once. Then put it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper!
  2. Brush with a little water and sprinkle with a little black cumin and flour! Place a bowl of cold water in the bottom of the oven. Then the buns rise nicer!
  3. approx. Bake for 20-30 minutes!
