Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 300 g pasta (maccheroncini)
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 1 bell pepper(s), yellow
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 Pepper
  • 150 g broccoli, frozen
  • some olive oil
  • 1 shot of white wine
  • 100 g ham
  • 1 tsp red pesto
  • 1 handful of fresh basil
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tsp parsley, dried
  • 200 g crème fraîche
  • 100 g cream
  • 100 g processed cheese (Gouda)
  • 100 ml milk
  • 100 ml water
  • 125g mozzarella
  • 5 g Parmesan, freshly grated

Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Cut the onions and pepperoni into strips, and the ham and bell peppers into cubes. Heat the olive oil in a pan, fry the onions until translucent and then fry the ham cubes. Then add the sliced ​​bell peppers and pepperoni. Once everything is slightly browned, add the red pesto and deglaze with the splash of white wine. When the white wine has evaporated slightly, add the water, milk, processed cheese, crème fraîche, cream, and the broccoli (depending on the size, chop large broccoli florets into small pieces). Bring everything to a boil and simmer on low heat. Season with salt, pepper, nutmeg, and parsley. Add the Parmesan cheese and season to taste. Transfer the cooked pasta to a baking dish and pour the sauce over it. Cut the tomatoes into wedges, chop the basil, and add it to the baking dish. Mix everything together. Slice the mozzarella and spread it evenly over the casserole. Bake the casserole in the oven on the middle rack for 15-20 minutes.
