Pasta bake with corned beef

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pasta
  • 2 cans of corned beef
  • 2 onions
  • 6 slices of cooked ham
  • 250 g cheese, grated
  • 400 g cream
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente and drain in a colander. If you overcook the pasta, it will become mushy later in the casserole. Preheat the oven to 250°C. Peel the onions and chop them into pieces as desired. I always leave them a little coarser, as we like onions. Cut the cooked ham into pieces as well. Grease a large casserole dish and add the first layer of pasta. Season the pasta generously with salt, pepper, and paprika. There should be enough pasta for three layers. Remove the corned beef from the can and crumble it onto the pasta by hand. Add another layer of pasta to the dish and season again. Sprinkle the ham over the pasta, then the onions. Finish with the pasta and season again (of course, everyone can decide the order of the ingredients themselves). Press the whole thing down a bit and sprinkle the cheese over it. Finally, pour in the cream. Place the whole thing in the hot oven for about 20 minutes, until it’s nicely browned and the cream is no longer runny. Serve immediately.
