Pasta casserole with green asparagus

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500g fusilli
  • 500 g asparagus, green
  • 400 ml cream
  • ¼ liter broth
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 200 g cooked ham
  • 200 g cheese, grated
  • salt and pepper
  • Sugar
  • Garlic

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

First, clean and finely chop the asparagus. Place it in a saucepan, sprinkle with salt and a little sugar, and cook until the stalks are tender. Meanwhile, boil the pasta for 2 minutes and then drain. For the sauce, place the broth and cream in a saucepan, add the butter and flour, and bring to a boil. Season with salt, garlic, and pepper. Dice the cooked ham. Take a baking dish and add the pasta first, then the diced ham and asparagus, always layering in that order. Finally, sprinkle with grated cheese and spread the sauce on top. Bake in the oven at 180°C (350°F) for approximately 20-30 minutes using a fan.
