Pasta casserole with kohlrabi and chicken breast

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pasta
  • 500 g chicken breast
  • 2 kohlrabi
  • 1 cup crème fraîche
  • 1 pack of cheese, grated
  • 500 ml chicken broth
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Cook the pasta until al dente. Preheat oven to 180°C (fan oven). Meanwhile, peel the kohlrabi, cut into strips, and blanch. Cut the chicken breast into strips and fry in a pan, seasoning with salt and pepper. When the meat has a nice color, drain the kohlrabi, add it, and fry briefly. Then deglaze everything with the chicken stock. Finally, add the crème fraîche. Season again with salt and pepper, if desired. Then layer the pasta with the meat and kohlrabi in a baking dish, sprinkle with cheese, and place everything in the oven at 180°C (fan oven) for about 20 minutes, until the cheese is golden brown.
