Pasta salad – sweet and spicy

Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 500 g pasta (e.g. spirelli or fusilli)
  • 500 g chicken breast
  • 500 g pork, shredded
  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 8 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp chili powder, more if desired
  • 1 tbsp paprika powder, sweet
  • 7 red bell peppers
  • 6 onions
  • ½ bottle of liquid honey
  • Soy sauce, dark
  • Salt
  • salt water
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 45 minutes

Cut all the meat into thin slices, mix, and marinate with ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, chili, and paprika. Meanwhile, thinly slice the bell peppers. Quarter the onions and also thinly slice them. Cook the noodles in salted water according to the package instructions, drain, and add to a large pot. Add a little soy sauce, stir, and cover. Fry the marinated meat in 3-4 batches in a pan with hot oil. Finally, season each batch with salt, pour over the noodles, add a few drops of soy sauce, and mix. Fry the bell peppers in 3-4 batches in a pan with hot oil. Finally, season each batch with salt, pour over the noodles, and mix. Fry all the onions in a pan with hot oil and season with salt. Then add half a bottle of runny honey to the onions. Simmer the onions in the honey for a few minutes. Then add them to the pot. Mix everything well and let it simmer for about 1/2 hour. Serve warm or cold.
