Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 375 g pasta
- 250 g meat sausage
- 1 small jar of pickled gherkins
- 1 jar mayonnaise
- salt and pepper
- Vinegar or pickle juice
- 1 can mixed vegetables, e.g. carrots and peas
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Cook the pasta until al dente, then rinse with cold water and drain well. Drain the mixed vegetables as well. Skin the sausage and cut into small cubes. Cut the pickles into small cubes as well. Mix all ingredients with the mayonnaise and season with salt and pepper. Add vinegar or pickle juice, seasoning occasionally. Add more vinegar or pickle juice if necessary. Let the pasta salad stand for 30 minutes and season again before serving. This is how I know pasta salad from Saarland. Simple, quick, and good, without any fuss.
