Ingredients for 5 servings:
- 8 tomatoes, firm enough to slice
- 2 bell peppers
- 1 onion(s)
- 100 g cooked ham
- 50 g Mett (onion Mett)
- 50 g blue cheese, e.g. Fourme d’Ambert
- 500 g tomatoes, pureed
- 250 ml cream
- vegetable oil
- salt and pepper
- Pizza seasoning
- vegetable broth
- Garlic salt
- Ketchup (spiced ketchup)
- Tomato paste
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
and a fine blue cheese note
Quarter the tomatoes, and chop the onion, bell pepper, and ham. Add the oil to the pan; when it’s hot, fry the onion first, then the minced meat. Add the tomatoes and bell peppers, fry them, and stir frequently. Then add the passata, bring to a boil, and continue to simmer on low heat. When the tomatoes and bell peppers are cooked, add the cheese and cream. Bring the sauce to a boil until the cheese has dissolved, stirring frequently. Season to taste with salt, pepper, pizza seasoning, vegetable stock, garlic salt, spiced ketchup, and tomato paste. When seasoning, be careful not to overpower the delicate blue cheese flavor.
