Pasta with ham cubes in tomato cream sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 handful of spaghetti
  • ½ onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 100 ml whipped cream
  • 150 ml milk, more if needed
  • 100 g ham
  • ½ jar tomatoes, dried, pickled
  • 1 some oil
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • some tomato paste
  • some flour
  • possibly water

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Cook the spaghetti al dente as usual and then drain. Meanwhile, finely chop the onion, tomatoes and garlic. Sauté the onion in a pan with a little oil until translucent, then add the garlic, tomatoes and diced ham and fry well. But not too vigorously, as the diced onions should not become too brown. Dust the whole thing with a little flour and stir, adding a little more oil if necessary. Deglaze everything with the milk and cream while stirring. If the consistency is too thick, you can add more water and/or milk to taste. Personally, I always do it by feel and eye. Then season to taste with salt, pepper, tomato paste and paprika. Finally, stir in the pasta and cook briefly until briskly so that the pasta absorbs the sauce well.
