Pasta with meat in spicy tomato sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat
  • 4 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 can/n tomatoes, peeled
  • 300 ml water
  • 500 g pasta
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • chili powder
  • Herbs, dried
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Slice the onions. Boil the pasta water. Add the pasta when it’s boiling and cook until al dente, according to the package instructions. Sauté the onions with the minced meat in a little oil. When the pasta is golden brown, add the sugar, lemon juice, and vinegar and mix. Briefly caramelize the sugar, stirring frequently. Add the tomato paste and fry briefly. Deglaze with the canned tomatoes and add a little water. Season and simmer for about 10 minutes. Season again to taste and serve the sauce with the cooked pasta.
