Pastrami sandwich

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 jar of pickles
  • 400g pastrami
  • 8 slices of bread
  • 1 small head of white cabbage
  • 3 carrots
  • 1 tsp creamed horseradish
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • some lemon juice
  • some salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp honey

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

For the coleslaw, clean the white cabbage and cut into thin strips. Mix with salt and knead thoroughly. Combine the mustard, creamed horseradish, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and honey, then toss with the white cabbage. Peel and slice the carrot. Cut the gherkins into thin strips. Spread coleslaw on a slice of bread and top with the gherkins and pastrami. Finally, place another slice of bread with the spread on top. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
