Pastries: Linzer Cookies

  • 150 g Soft butter
  • 50 g Powdered sugar
  • 1 Pck Vanilla sugar
  • 0,5 Tl Ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch Ground cloves
  • 1 Tl Unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 Egg
  • 150 g Spelled flour
  • 150 g Ground almonds
  • 150 g Currant jelly
  • 1 tsp Kirsch
  • 1 tsp Black currant liqueur
  1. Mix the butter with the sugar, vanilla sugar and egg with a hand mixer. Add the cloves, cinnamon, kirsch and cocoa.
  2. Then knead in the flour with the almonds and refrigerate for at least an hour.
  3. Preheat the oven to 160 C ° with a fan oven.
  4. Now roll out the dough about 3-4 mm thick and cut out round with a cutter or whatever you have there. Then cut out stars, hearts or flowers from half of the biscuits. Bake in the oven for about 8-10 minutes and allow to cool. Stir the jelly with the liqueur until smooth.
  5. Dust the circles of the flowers with powdered sugar. Brush the lower half with the currant jelly and then fold it up.
