Pear and Bean Bacon

The perfect pear and bean bacon recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 600 g Waxy potatoes
  • 800 g Green, fresh beans
  • 2 Pcs. Onions
  • 8 Pcs. Small pears
  • 250 g Streaky, smoked bacon
  • 300 g Kassler neck
  • 4 Branches Savory
  • Salt pepper
  • 1 Bay leaf
  1. 1 ltr. Let the water with the onions, bay leaf, bacon and smoked pork boil for about 3/4 hours. In the meantime, peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes. Clean the beans, cut in half if necessary. Peel the pears. After the meat has cooked its time, add the potatoes and beans. All salt and pepper. After about 1/2 hour add the pears and cook on a low flame for 15 minutes. A hearty, almost autumnal stew is ready!
