Pear and fig puree with Amaretto

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g pear(s)
  • 400 g fig(s), fresh
  • 500 g brown sugar
  • 200 ml Amaretto

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Peel the pears, core them, chop them, and weigh out 400g. Wash the figs thoroughly, remove the stems, quarter them, and weigh out 400g. Place the figs and sugar in a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat and simmer gently for 20-30 minutes, stirring frequently. Blend until the desired consistency is reached. Add the Amaretto and bring back to a boil. While still hot, pour into clean jars with twist-off lids and turn upside down.
