Pear Cake with Kaba

The perfect pear cake with kaba recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 4 Pc. Eggs
  • 200 g Sugar
  • 200 g Flour
  • 0,5 packet Baking powder
  • 3 tbsp Kaba powder
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 4 Pc. Pears
  • 60 g Nuts chopped hazelnuts, walnuts, almonds
  • 60 g Butter for the baking pan
  • 2 tbsp Breadcrumbs
  1. Preheat the oven to 160 °.
  2. Beat eggs and sugar until frothy. Mix the flour, baking powder, Kaba, salt and gradually add to the egg mixture.
  3. Butter the baking pan, sprinkle with breadcrumbs and spread the batter on top.
  4. Wash the pears, cut in half, peel, remove the seeds and spread on the dough with the curved side up. Sprinkle the pears with chopped nuts and place in the oven.
  5. Bake the cake for 35 minutes and then, with the oven switched off, let it rest for another 10 minutes. Remove the baking pan from the oven. Take the cake out of the baking pan and let it cool down on the wire rack.
  6. Sprinkle the cooled cakes with powdered sugar.
