Pear toast with Roquefort

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 slices of farmhouse bread (country/wood-fired bread)
  • 2 pears, pitted, sliced
  • 4 slices of cheese (Roquefort)
  • butter
  • Pear schnapps or pear liqueur

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

or other blue cheese

Spread the bread slices with butter. Arrange half a pear, sliced, on each slice. Drizzle with pear liqueur or pear brandy, if desired, and top with a slice of Roquefort cheese. Bake at 180 degrees Celsius (fan oven) until the cheese melts slightly.
